PA Panto, Big Brass Yule Ball and other entertainment are lined up on the North Olympic Peninsula this weekend.
• PA Panto’s “Ethel Mermaid & the Varying Degrees of Evil” continues this weekend with shows tonight, Saturday and Sunday.
This is the final weekend of the show at the Peninsula College Little Theater, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd. The curtain rises at 7 tonight and Saturday with 2 p.m. matinees on Saturday and Sunday.

In the show, the protagonist of “The Little Mermaid” has moved to the big city, traded her shell bra for a power pantsuit and ditched Eric. She’s in legal trouble and wants to return home.
• “What the Dickens?!” continues at Key City Public Theatre at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
The play, written by Doug Given with additional material by David H. Schroeder, runs through Dec. 23 on Thursdays through Sundays at the theater at 419 Washington St. in Port Townsend.
Tickets are $15 to $39 for standard seating, $15 to $44 for select seating, $15 to $49 for premium seating and $5 to $59 for pay-what-you-wish.
A block of pay-what-you-wish seats are now available at every main stage show.

• “The Game’s Afoot or Holmes for the Holidays” at Olympic Theatre Arts finishes with shows at 7 tonight and Saturday and matinees at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The “whodunnit murder mystery comedy” runs through Sunday at Olympic Theatre Arts, 414 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim.

• Wild Rose Chorale holiday concert is at 7 tonight at Grace Lutheran Church, 1120 Walker St. in Port Townsend.
The a cappella ensemble will present one show only.
Tickets are a suggested $20 at the door. Masks are encouraged in the venue.
• Big Brass Yule Ball in Port Townsend will feature the Olympic Express Big Band, Father Christmas and Krampus from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
The event, sponsored by The Brass Screw Consortium and Olympic Peninsula Steam, will be at the American Legion Hall, 209 Monroe St. in Port Townsend.

VIP tickets will include preferred seating, a personalized Naughty Pass and two complimentary beverages.

• Linus and Juicy: Vince Guaraldi’s “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will be performed at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday at the Field Arts & Events Hall.
Tickets range from $15 to $60 for general admission and $10 for students and youth at Field Hall at 201 W. Front St. in Port Angeles.
The 1 p.m. performance will be one 60-minute set focused on “family matinee.” The 7 p.m. performance will consist of two 45-minute sets.

• Port Townsend Urban Sketchers will sketch at Fort Worden at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The group will meet in front of the fireplace inside the Commons, 210 Battery Way.
After sketching at locations around the fort, the group will reconvene in the Commons at noon to share their work and take a photo.

• Art from the Heart, a free workshop, will be presented by Daria Hunt at the Forks Library at 11 a.m. Saturday.
The workshop at the library at 171 S. Forks Ave. is for adults and teens 14 and older.
Hunt will help participants to approach drawing in a fun and carefree way, just like in childhood.
Participants will discover ways to engage in self-reflection and express themselves and their emotions through artistic images.

• “An Evening of Balkan Music, Singing and Folkdancing” will be hosted by the Quimper Grange at 7 p.m. Saturday.
The dance concert is in the grange hall, 1219 Corona St. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.; the suggested donation is $5 to $20.
Music will be performed by Joe Finn on fiddle; Dina Trageser, vocals; and Michael Lawson, accordion and vocals. Attendees may dance or just listen and are welcome to bring snacks to share.
• “Value of Our Older Forests” will be presented by Dominick DellaSala at 6 p.m. Sunday.
DellaSala will speak at the Sons of Norway’s Scandia Hall, 131 W. Fifth St., Port Angeles.
DellaSala will discuss the value of older forests and the need to protect them.
His presentation is sponsored by Olympic Climate Action.
DellaSala holds a doctorate in natural resources from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich.
He will be followed by a presentation regarding an application for protection of 3,000 acres of forest in the Elwha watershed by the city of Port Angeles under the state Department of Natural Resources’ trust land transfer program.
