Holiday bazaars to feature arts and crafts

Several holiday bazaars will offer arts and crafts, food and entertainment this weekend on the Peninsula.

The locations include:

NEAH BAY

• The Makah Cultural and Research Center will host its Christmas Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the center’s museum, 1880 Bayview Ave., Neah Bay.

The annual bazaar will feature a variety of handmade art pieces, crafts, decorations and gift items created by local artists.

Attendees also will be able purchase homemade desserts and food, including Indian tacos.

There will be drawings for door prizes contributed by the participating artists. Winners must be present at the drawing.

PORT TOWNSEND

• The Holiday Community Artists/Makers Fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Cape George Colony Club on Marina Drive in Port Townsend.

The sale will host 17 vendors and feature fiber arts, glass art, candles, flowers, basket weaving, sea glass jewelry and vintage lights.

SEQUIM

• The Homemade Christmas Craft Fair will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 Macleay Road, Sequim.

The fair will feature handmade crafts including leather, wood work, Christmas decor, ceramics and jewelry.

The fair also will include homemade baked goods, and lunch will be available for purchase from the kitchen.

PORT LUDLOW

• The Port Ludlow Art League’s Holiday Art Fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Beach Club, 121 Marina View Drive, Port Ludlow.

More than 20 local artists will display and sell jewelry, paintings, ceramics, stained glass, baskets, textiles, woodwork, cards, fusible glass and photographs.

The fair will include a bake sale to benefit the league’s scholarship fund for Jefferson County students.

• The Port Ludlow Art League will host its Holiday Open House from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at its gallery adjacent to Sound Community Bank, 9500 Oak Bay Road.

The artists’ cooperative will offer original artwork, jewelry, ceramics, woodwork, textiles, glassware and cards.

Shoppers will be able to enjoy seasonal refreshments and the chance to win a $200 gift certificate.

PORT ANGELES

• The Elks Lodge #353 will host Jolly Jammie Tea from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Naval Elks Lodge, 131 E. First St., Port Angeles.

Attendees are invited to dressed in Christmas jammies, get pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, decorate cookies, sip on hot cocoa and listen to live music from Paper Tooth.

Tickets are $15 per person at www.ticketleap.events/tickets/navalelks-1/jolly-jammie-tea.

The price includes a cookie decorating kit, hot cocoa, coffee and tea, and assorted goodies.

Mimosas and other specialty drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.
