Tree-lighting events, holiday bazaars and other activities of the season are planned on the North Olympic Peninsula this weekend, beginning Friday.
Port Townsend
• Port Townsend’s free, community tree-lighting festivities will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tyler Plaza under the heated tent. Visitors can carol with Wild Rose Chorale and make ornaments to take home until 4 p.m. or supplies run out. Donations will benefit PT Artscape, which supports the arts in the schools program in Port Townsend. Holiday cutouts at Tyler Plaza will be available for selfies.
Santa will visit with children in Port Townsend from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Tyler and Water streets. He will pose with children and the Kiwanis Choo Choo before boarding the Choo Choo to ride to Haller Fountain at Washington and Tyler streets to light the community tree at dusk.
• Festival of Lights Holiday Bazaar will be hosted by Unity Spiritual Enrichment Center, 3918 San Juan Ave., from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The annual festival returns to the center after a pandemic-driven hiatus.
The bazaar features Christmas decor, handmade items, crafts and services including intuitive readings and metaphysical items as well as hundreds of cookies baked by the parishioners and a silent auction.
The center offers homemade soup and bread in its cafe.

• Concert for Peace, a Celtic harp concert by harpist David Michael, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Unity Spiritual Enrichment Center, 3918 San Juan Ave.

Forks
• Twinkle Light Parade and tree lighting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in Forks.
The parade will begin at C Street and continue to Sol Duc Way, where the community tree will be lighted at the Triangle lot. Santa will do the honors at this ceremony, which will follow immediately after the parade.
The tree, sponsored by the West End Business & Professional Association, was acquired thanks to Ken and Darlene Olson. City crew members assist with placing the tree, and the lights and decorations on the tree.
• The 28th annual Festival of Trees, created by the Soroptimist International of the Olympic Rain Forest, have an open house at the Rainforest Arts Center, 35 N. Forks Ave., from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and again from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. after the parade on Saturday.
The theme is Candyland.
Visitors will be able to look over the 15 decorated trees and 22 wreaths while voting for their favorites and enjoying baked goods and live entertainment. They also can bid on silent auction wreaths.
The live auction will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday. Doors will open at 1 p.m.
Sequim
• The ninth annual student holiday display and tree lighting will be hosted by the Sequim Arts Commission during the First Friday Art Walk.
The tree lighting will be from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St.
All fourth-grade students in the Sequim School District have been invited to create a holiday ornament inspired by the theme, “What Brings You Joy.”
Light refreshments and joyous cheer will be offered.
The City Arts Advisory Commission hosts the “Elemental; Fire, Water, Wood, Earth, Metal, Air” on view in the Karen Kuznek-Reese Gallery.
• Sequim Prairie Grange Holiday Craft Fair will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the grange hall at 290 Macleay Road.
More than 35 exhibitors tables will fill the hall. Lunch will be served in the kitchen for a fee.

• Greywolf Holiday Bazaar will be hosted by the Sequim Elementary Parent Teacher Association from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The bazaar at Greywolf Elementary School, 171 Carlsborg Road, will feature Cub Scouts selling fresh wreaths and more than 50 vendors.
Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase in the cafe.
• RainShadow Artisans will display their work from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Dungeness River Nature Center, 1943 W. Hendrickson Road.
The collective includes artisans who create a broad range of hand-crafted items.
Carlsborg
• Living Nativity will be presented at Carlsborg Family Church, 481 Carlsborg Road, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The annual depiction of the nativity is presented hourly with tours starting at 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. each day.
Although the nativity is presented at the church, attendees are asked to park at Greywolf Elementary School, 171 Carlsborg Road, and wait for transport via church bus.
The church recommends arriving at least 15 minutes before the start of the tour.
Members of the church, surrounded by live animals, will perform on six different sets.
