Holiday bazaars abound this weekend

With Thanksgiving less than two weeks away, many organizations and groups have planned holiday fairs, bazaars and events to get residents in the mood for the coming holidays.

Here are bazaars set this weekend on the North Olympic Peninsula:

PORT ANGELES

Christmas cottage

PORT ANGELES — The Original Christmas Cottage will take place today, Saturday and Sunday at the Vern Burton Community Center.

The sales will take place between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. today and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the center, 308 E. Fourth St.

More than 25 contributing artists will offer handcrafted items, many from new artists.

The public is invited to bring cameras and take photos of themselves in Santa’s sleigh.

Baked items and lunch will be served.

Christmas Cottage is a group of crafters and artists who host The Original Christmas Cottage Craft Show each November at the Vern Burton Community Center.

Holiday bazaar

PORT ANGELES — Agnew Helpful Neighbors will host a holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Lunch will be served with all homemade soups, sandwiches and pies at 1241 N. Barr Road.

Fall bazaar

PORT ANGELES — Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will host a fall bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The free bazaar will take place at 301 Lopez Ave.

Handcrafted gifts, fair trade items, homemade soups and baked goods will be available to purchase.

A lefse-making demonstration also is planned.

Christmas bazaar

PORT ANGELES — St. Matthew Lutheran Church will host its Christmas bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Holiday decorations, Christmas gift ideas, homemade baked goods and jams and jellies will be for sale at the church, 132 E. 13th St.

Soup and fresh rolls will be served at lunch.

The public is invited to bring cameras for photos with St. Nicholas.

Funds raised will be used to support the church’s preschool program.

Angelic festival

PORT ANGELES — Queen of Angels Church will host its Angelic Festival today and Saturday.

The festival is planned from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Saturday at the church gym, 213 W. 11th St.

Toys, hand crafts, gift items, white elephants gift items, fair trade items and fabric and craft supplies will be for sale. A country store will be offered.

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Craft and bake sale

PORT ANGELES — A holiday craft and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at 1703 Melody Circle.

The event is free.

SEQUIM

St. Luke’s fair

SEQUIM — The St. Luke’s Holiday Bazaar will celebrate its 60th anniversary from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Many handmade items will be for sale at the church, 525 N. Fifth Ave.

A bazaar luncheon also will be served.

Christmas Lane fair

SEQUIM — Trinity United Methodist Church will host a Christmas Lane Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

More than 40 local crafters will show their wares at the church, 100 S. Blake Ave.

A baked goods table and a Holly Daze Cafe with chili, soups and pie are planned.

Autumn bazaar

SEQUIM — St. Joseph Church will host an autumn bazaar today and Saturday.

The bazaar is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, 121 E. Maple St.

Handmade crafts, baked goods, a silent auction and a soup luncheon are planned.

The luncheon will be free to veterans today.

GARDINER

Holiday bazaar

GARDINER — The Gardiner Holiday Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The free event will be at 980 Old Gardiner Road.

Eighteen local crafters will have handmade gifts for sale. Santa will be present for photos with children, family and pets.

Arts and crafts show

PORT LUDLOW — The South Bay Community Association will host an Arts and Crafts Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Port Ludlow Bay Club.
