‘Haphazardly’ happy in Port Angeles tonight

PORT ANGELES — In the Port Angeles Community Players Children’s Theater production of “Haphazardly Ever After” being royal is “too much work.”

That’s especially true for mean Princess Cinnamon (Kaelyn Herring), not-so-bright Princess Peppermint (Hannah Warriner-Slick) and their brothers the vain Prince Hairgel (Sam Rees) and lazy Prince Slacker (Brock Hope).

Queen Mildred (Olivia Wray) and King Barnabas (Finn Waknitz) enlist the help of fairies, frogs and fairy tales to help them show their children how their experiences change them.

The play, written by Jeff Fluarty and directed by Barbara Frederick, opens at 7 p.m. tonight and continues at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday. A matinee is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday.

All performances are at the Port Angeles Community Playhouse 1235 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

Tickets are not required. Attendees are asked to pay what they can at the door.

Additional cast members are Emily Boling, Piper Bullington, Maggie Conkle, Zade Harris, Zoie Harris, Abby Hart, Isaac Hart, Corbin Hempel, Michael Herring, Jocelyn Kimball, Molly Kussin, Vail Mead, Waverly Mead, Ivy Miller,McHenry Miller, Mickey Morlan, Jr, Lily Mosely, Zeek Richards, Belle Robinson, Isaac Rutledge, Julia Rutledge, Veronica Schaefermeyer, Lily Spoon, Audrey Tesreau, Leilani Thomason, Mabel Waknitz, Rai Warzecha, ShyAnne Welch, Henry Wendel and Piper Wikert.
