Hands-on seashore learning at the library

As part of Clallam County Reads, the North Olympic Library System is partnering with Feiro Marine Life Center to offer special Seashore Storytimes, beginning next week.

Seashore Storytime are set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave.; at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 1 at the Forks Library, 171 S. Forks Ave.; and at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 5 at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.

Library staff will provide stories, songs and rhymes about creatures that live in the seas of the Pacific Northwest and Feiro Marine Life Center staff will have a touch tank available for youths of ages 3-5 to explore.

A community-wide shared reading experience, Clallam County Reads offers free, educational and community-building events and programs during October and November related to the official selection, “The Soul of an Octopus” by Sy Montgomery.
