Handmade items, food featured at holiday bazaars

With just seven weeks left to finish holiday shopping, a variety of North Olympic Peninsula bazaars and fairs offers everything from stockingstuffers to larger gifts.

FORKS

Christmas bazaar

FORKS — The Forks Emblem Club will host its Christmas bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Featured at the bazaar at the Forks Elks Lodge, 941 Merchants Road, will be handmade items.

Flea market, bazaar

PORT ANGELES — The 36th annual flea market and bazaar will be from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

The event will take place at the Port Angeles Senior & Community Center, 328 E. Seventh St.

A breakfast and lunch will be available, with proceeds benefiting the center.

Holiday house bazaar

PORT ANGELES — The United Methodist Women invite the public to a holiday house bazaar from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The bazaar will take place at the church, 110 E. Seventh St.

A luncheon of soup, chowder, sandwiches and pie will be served.

The bazaar will feature baked goods and home preserves, a gift showcase, a garden shop, See’s Candies, books and kids’ activities.

Christmas open house

SEQUIM — Over the Fence invites the public to its Christmas open house at 10 a.m. today.

Giveaways will be held throughout the day at the business, 112 E. Washington St.

A raffle also will be available, with proceeds benefiting the Sequim Food Bank and Healthy Families of Clallam County women’s shelters.

SEQUIM — A holiday bazaar will be available at Shipley Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Saturday.

SEQUIM — The Philanthropic Educational Organization Chapter JC Sequim’s ninth annual holiday bazaar will occur at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Holiday gifts and crafts, as well as homemade baked goods and books, will be featured at the sale in the Sequim Community Church foyer, 950 N. Fifth Ave.

A raffle for a basket, quilt and Lenox jar will also be held.

Holiday open house

SEQUIM — A holiday open house will be held at the Sequim Prairie Grange from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Name-brand items including Avon, Mary Kay and craft gifts will be for sale at the grange, 290 Macleay Road.

Craft fair

BLYN — The Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe will hold its eighth annual native and non-native holiday craft fair at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Featured at the event will be more than 30 vendors at the Tribal Community Center’s Red Cedar Hall, 1033 Old Blyn Highway.

Handmade items including textiles, ceramics, jewelry, native flutes, baskets, herbal skin care, cards and dried flowers will be available.

Nonperishable food and personal hygiene items for the Tribal Food Bank also will be accepted at the event.

Proceeds will benefit the tribe’s social and community services programs.

PORT TOWNSEND

Holiday fair

PORT TOWNSEND — The 14th annual Jefferson County Fairgrounds holiday fair will be held Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On both days, a variety of handmade and commercial gifts will be available at the fairgrounds, 4907 Landes St.

Inside booths and hourly raffles also will be available.

From noon to 4 p.m. both days, attendees can get their picture taken with Santa for $8.

The fair’s restaurant will be open for breakfast and lunch.
