Halloween events are planned today through Sunday on the North Olympic Peninsula.
Downtown trick-or-treating has been canceled this year in Port Angeles, Sequim and Port Townsend, although in Port Angeles, individual businesses may hold their own private events.
Only Forks among the incorporated cities on the Peninsula will have organized downtown trick-or-treating. It will be overseen by the Forks Chamber of Commerce and the West End Business & Professional Association.
Most Forks businesses will offer treats to children in costume all day during business hours Sunday.
Some will offer trick-or-treating only from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. that day. They are South North, Circle K, Forks Avenue Real Estate, Forever Twilight in Forks Collection, Blakeslee’s Bar & Grill, Unleashed Graphic/UGI, Olympic Artforge and Laundry 101.
Chinook Pharmacy plans to offer trick-or-treating Saturday because it is generally closed Sunday, according to Christi Baron, chamber board president and Forks Forum editor.
Health protocols will be followed, said Lissy Andros, Forks Chamber of Commerce executive director, in an email.
Chamber personnel will hand out candy at both the Visitor Information Center, at 1411 S. Forks Ave., and downtown at the Forever Twilight in Forks Collection in the Rainforest Arts Center alcove, at 11 N. Forks Ave., using tongs so that candy is handed out without touching, she said.

Port Townsend
• Trick or Treat
The Port Townsend Public Library, 1220 Lawrence St., will host Trick or Treat from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Saturday. Costumes are highly encouraged.
• Sketching in cemetery
The Port Townsend Urban Sketchers will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday to sketch at Laurel Grove Cemetery, just inside the Discovery Road entrance.
The historic cemetery has monuments, trees, shrubs, wildlife and interesting views, organizers said. The group will reconvene at noon to compare sketches and take a group photo.
• Haunted Hallows
The free Haunted Hallows, haunted garden walk, will be open to the public from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Old Consulate Inn, 313 Walker St. It is oriented to visitors 12-years and older, although some scares might not be appropriate for small children. Sequim
• Boo Hunger campaign
The Sequim Food Bank has partnered with Sequim High School for the Boo Hunger campaign. Students placed about 700 donation bags at Sequim homes Friday and will pick them up between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. today.
• YMCA offers treats
The YMCA of Sequim, 610 N. Fifth Ave., will host a drive-through Halloween event from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Children are invited to wear costumes. Parents can drive through the parking lot or walk with children on the sidewalk. Social distancing will be encouraged.
• Scary tales
Olympic Theatre Arts Center, 414 N. Sequim Ave., invites adults to share and hear “Scary Stories” for the first “Tale Spinners” at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Costumes are encouraged. Star Pittman will host seasoned local storytellers as well as walk-in storytellers from the public. Tickets are $10 online at olympictheatrearts.org or at the door.
• Grange plans
Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 MacLeay Road, will offer a Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, rain or shine. Families can stay in their vehicles and drive through as “ghosts” and “goblins” hand out candy.
• Boys & Girls Club
The Sequim unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula, at 400 W. Fir St., will host drive-through trick-or-treating from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
• Faith Lutheran
Faith Lutheran Church, 354 W. Cedar St., will offer a walk-through event with free treats for children from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday between the preschool and church.
• Elks candy
Sequim Elks Lodge, 143 Port Williams Road, plans a drive-through trick or treat from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, with free candy along with drug awareness pamphlets.
• First Baptist
First Baptist Church, 1323 Sequim-Dungeness Way, will host an outdoor harvest festival from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday in its parking lot with candy and games.
• The Bash
King’s Way, 1023 Kitchen-Dick Road, will bring back The Bash for a 24th year from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. The event will be outdoors with games, rides, snacks and candy. Family-friendly costumes only, organizers say.
• Eastern Hills
Eastern Hills Community Church, 91 Savannah Lane, will offer its annual Trunk or Treat from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, outside the church with games, music and free candy, hot dogs, chips and drinks.
• Little League
Sequim Little League will host Trunk or Treat from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the little league field, 124 W. Silberhorn Road. Attendees can wander through the spooky haunted house. Organizers will be collecting nonperishable food donations for the Sequim Food Bank.
• Thrive Church
Thrive Church, 640 N. Sequim Ave., will host a Trunk or Treat from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday featuring free candy, hot dogs, cider and hot cocoa.
Port Angeles
• Trick or Treat Trail
Fall Fest at the Extreme Sports Park, 2917 W. Edgewood Drive, will host a walk-through Trick-or-Treat Trail from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday which is co-sponsored by local businesses and the Port Angeles Swim Club.
• Trunk or Treat
The Port Angeles Church of Christ, 1233 E. Front St., will host Trunk or Treat from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
• Pipe Screams
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will broadcast Pipe Screams! at 6 p.m. Sunday on KONP 1450 AM, 101.3 FM and 101.7 FM. The family program will feature spooky organ music performed by Noah Smith, the church’s music director, and scary stories told by Erran Sharpe from the Story People of Clallam County.
Joyce
• Trunk or Treat
Crescent School, 50350 state Highway 112, will host a drive-through Trunk or Treat from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
Forks
• Rain of Terror
The Rain of Terror Haunted Hangar, 5144 Quillayute Road, is open from 7 p.m. to midnight today and Saturday with a special event planned from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. for Halloween on Sunday. Admission is $10 per person. Masks are required. The haunted house is not recommended for children younger than 12, and anyone younger than 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign a waiver.
• Truck or Treat
The Forks Assembly of God, 81 Huckleberry Lane, will host Truck or Treat from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
