Halloween haunts, play set this week on Peninsula

Boisterous Halloween entertainment is planned this week throughout the North Olympic Peninsula.

Rain of Terror

FORKS — The Rain of Terror Haunted Hangar will open from 7 p.m. to midnight for the next two weekends.

The haunted hangar is at Quillayute Airport, 5144 Quillayute Road.

Admission will be $10 tonight and Saturday, Oct. 25-26 and 31, and Nov. 1-2 at the haunting event that claims to be the Olympic Peninsula’s most extreme halloween experience.

Haunt Town

PORT TOWNSEND — Port Townsend Kiwanis is hosting Haunt Town in the basement of the Elks Lodge.

Admission is $12 per person at the haunted house at the lodge at 555 Otto St.

Haunt Town will be open from 7 to 10 tonight, Saturday, Thursday and Oct. 25, 26 and 31.

There will be a youth special from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday; children younger than 13 years will be admitted for $5 when accompanied by a full adult admission.

Proceeds from the house will benefit Port Townsend Kiwanis, the Elks and local Associated Student Body clubs.

Halloween at the castle

PORT TOWNSEND — Manresa Castle Hotel will host several free Halloween activities next week.

The hotel is at 651 Cleveland Ave.

It will conduct a children’s hunt for treats in and around the castle from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

A pumpkin carving party is set from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

A scary movie triple feature is planned from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday.

The films will be screened in the castle’s Elephant Room.

Harvest carnival

PORT ANGELES — The Peninsula Pre-3 Cooperative Preschool will host its annual Harvest Carnival & Silent Auction from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The carnival will be in the gymnasium at Jefferson Elementary School, 218 E. 12th St.

Admission is $3 per person and includes unlimited crafts. Children younger than 12 months will be admitted free.

It will offer games, prizes, crafts, a cake walk, gift basket raffle and a silent auction.

The games and crafts are designed for children 9 years and younger, but are intended to be fun for the entire family.

Each of the first 100 children receives a free book from Clallam County Literacy Council.
