Guitarists tailor talents for Spanish music, dance fusion in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — Virtuoso guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Andre Feriante will return to Port Angeles on Saturday with Latin and flamenco dancer Stella Rossi.

Showtime for the Spanish music and dance concert is 7:30 p.m. and doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the performance at Studio Bob, 118½ Front St.

Tickets available

Tickets are $20 and are available online at newupstage.com or at Harbor Art Gallery, 110 E. Railroad Ave., Port Angeles.

“Feriante and Rossi’s presentation of Latin Fusion and neo-flamenco promises a sensual journey into the beauty and intrigue of Spanish music and dance,” said organizer Mark Cole of Upstage Bistro Entertainment.

“Presenting both traditional and contemporary interpretations, Feriante and Rossi will capture you with the romance, mystery and thrill of Spanish culture.”

An award-winning Segovia-trained guitarist-composer, Feriante has performed a blend of classical, flamenco and Brazilian styles for 30 years all over the world, Cole said. He has released 13 solo recordings.

Rossi, who was born in Paraguay, has accompanied many Northwest artists, such as CocoLoco.

She also leads the flamenco-rock fusion band Deseo Carmin.

“From traditional to cutting-edge contemporary, Stella brings her talents tailored to Feriante’s, and the two present a stunning and exciting show that will move you with its passion, poetry and sensuality,” Cole said.
