PORT ANGELES — The 34th annual North Olympic Mustang Show &Shine will roar into the area this weekend.
The event will kick off Saturday with an 11 a.m. cruise launching from the Price Ford Lincoln parking lot at 3311 E. U.S. Highway 101.
The North Olympic Mustangs club then will head to the Salt Creek Recreation Area, Olympic National Park Visitor Center and Cline Spit in Sequim before concluding with a barbecue at Price Ford Lincoln.
The festivities continue Sunday with the club’s Show &Shine.
Registration will start at 9 a.m. at The Gateway center at Front and Lincoln streets in downtown Port Angeles.
The entry fee is $20 at the gate, and the Kiwanis Club of Port Angeles will sell coffee and doughnuts throughout the morning.
A special area will be designated for Mercury Cougar, non-Mustang and non-Cougar vehicles.
Goody bags will be available for the first 125 entrants.
“Participants of the show come from all over the Pacific Northwest,” said Steve Stratton, club member.
“We’re excited to see vehicles not only from the North Olympic Peninsula but from Oregon, Canada and beyond come out to the Peninsula and join us for the show.”
Prizes will be awarded in more than 32 classes at 3 p.m. Sunday. Prizes will include Sponsor’s Choice, Hard Luck, Long Distance and Club Participation. Raffles will be held throughout the day.
Musical entertainment will be provided by Bob Lumens.
The car show is sponsored by Price Ford Lincoln and Wenner-Davis &Associates, both of Port Angeles, and Sequim’s Dog House Powder Coating and Discount Tire.
