Gen X dance party set for Saturday

PORT ANGELES — An early-evening nightclub is set for Saturday at Studio Bob.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the Gen X Dance Party at Studio Bob at 118 ½ E. Front St.

The party will begin at 7 p.m. and go on until 10 p.m.

“After 10 p.m., you don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here. This nightclub starts and ends early because getting us to go out after 8 p.m. is likely not going to happen any longer,” said a press release on the event.

Advance tickets are $15 at genxdanceparty. ticketleap.com/november2023. Admission is $20 at the door.

All generations 18 and older are welcome.

“We’ve got our own early evening night club with a playlist focused on ’80s and ’90s music, with a sprinkle of ’70s, early ’00s and newer songs that GenXers have regrettably fallen in love with,” the release said.

Club Lights and Surround Sound will transform Studio Bob into a nightclub worthy of the custom mix by DJ Dave Paul.

For more than 20 years, DJ Dave Paul has been an integral part of hip-hop and DJ culture. In the early 90s, he launched the now legendary publication, The Bomb Hip-Hop Magazine, and in 1995, Paul transformed the magazine into a record label.

Dave Paul has appeared on the front cover of Billboard magazine and is featured in the motion picture Scratch.
