Gen X Dance Party at Studio Bob

PORT ANGELES — All generations of people 18 and older are welcome at the Gen X Dance Party tonight at Studio Bob.

The party will be from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. tonight at the studio at 118½ E. Front St., Port Angeles.

Tickets are $15 in advance, available at https://linktr.ee/genxdanceparty or www.studiobob.art, or $20 at the door.

“Whether you love to dance, love to watch other people dance, just want to soak up the music or hang out with friends, this night is for you,” said Sarah Tucker, publicist.

“The space will be decked out in GenX pop culture realness, so be prepared, you may experience feelings,” she said.

The Gen X Dance Party is produced by Iva Handfull. When Handfull’s not headlining and featuring in burlesque festivals and shows across North America, she is executive director of BurlyCon, which brings worldwide burlesque education and connection together through an annual convention and year-round virtual learning platform.

She also produces Olympic Peaks Burlesque as well as teaching performers how to bring concert-worthy performances to their own stages.

The playlist is focused on ’80s and ’90s music, with a sprinkle of ’70s, early ’00s and newer songs “that us GenXers have regrettably fallen in love with,” Tucker said.

The playlist is custom mixed by Iva Handfull’s DJ friends. This will be a monthly event; tickets are already available for Nov. 25 and Dec.16.
