Gala, circus set at Worthington Park

QUILCENE — The Quilcene Historical Museum’s 13th annual Tasting Gala will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, followed by a circus show and movie on Saturday.

The theme for the gala at Worthington Park, 151 W. Columbia St., was inspired by the 1881 Renoir painting, Luncheon of the Boating Party and intended to welcome guests to a summer party in le jardin, organizers said.

Special guests Carol & Vinny will play live Musette music. Visitors are invited to don summer hats, anything from fancy fun to comfy. Also planned are booths by local artisans, vintners, brewers and food vendors.

Saturday

The UP UP UP Crane Truck Circus Show will return this year with a free showing of Disney’s A Bug’s Life.

The Circus starts at 7 p.m. and the movie at 9 p.m. Saturday.

Admission is by donation, with refreshments and free popcorn available.

The Quilcene Historical Museum recently launched overnight lodging in the 1892 Victorian Hamilton-Worthington Mansion.
