PORT ANGELES — Ann and Charlie Heymann will present “Harp Concert: Golden Jubilee” at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
The free Gaelic concert will be in the Raymond Carver Room at the Port Angeles Main Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., Port Angeles.
The couple has been performing under the name Clairseach throughout the U.S., Ireland, Scotland, Wales, continental Europe and Australia for 50 years.
Ann plays the Gaelic harp and Charlie plays the cittern, button accordion and sings.
The cittern is a flat-backed, wire-strung, lute-like instrument common in Europe during the 16th and 17th centuries.
The Heymanns also will present “My Harps — My Teachers,” a lecture exploring the history of the Gaelic harp, at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Carver Room.
