Free medical clinic to benefit from winery concert

PORT ANGELES — Olympic Cellars Winery will host a Seattle group, Longstride, on Saturday as the next installment in its Summer Concerts series.

The evenings of music at the winery at 255410 U.S. Highway 101 between Port Angeles and Sequim benefit local nonprofits. Saturday’s concert will help Volunteers in Medicine of the Olympics.

All concerts begin at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m., rain or shine. It is suggested that attendees bring lawn chairs.

Tickets are available at the winery or online at Brown Paper Tickets. Tickets are required for children 13 and older. They can be ordered at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3382446.

Tickets for Saturday’s concert — and all those in the summer series — are $13 in advance or $15 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at the winery or on-line at Brown Paper Tickets. Season passes are $75. They may be purchased at the winery or online at www.olympiccellars.com.

Volunteers in Medicine of the Olympics is a volunteer medical, behavioral health and dental clinic in Port Angeles. VIMO is a free clinic, primarily serving low-income and homeless patients living in Clallam and Jefferson counties.

Longstride plays reggae-rock-groove with real melodies and amazing execution and a high energy, crowd moving stage show, a news release said.

Longstride is comprised of four members who have played and toured separately from Hawaii to Los Angeles, Alaska and all over the Northwest. Longstride began performing in August 2012.

All ages are welcome to this family-friendly event. The food vendor for the evening will be Turnip the Beet.

Non-alcoholic beverages only can be brought in to the concerts. Wine and beer will be available for purchase. No marijuana, smoking or vaping is allowed. Neither are dogs.

Here is the rest of the summer concert series schedule:

• Aug. 24 — Creme Tangerine supporting the Port Angeles Noon Rotary.

• Aug. 25 — Creme Tangerine supporting the Welfare for Animals Guild.
