Free concert set at Center for Spiritual Living

PORT ANGELES — Soloist Kinnie Dye is coming to the Olympic Peninsula for a free concert at 7 tonight.

The free concert is sponsored by the Center for Spiritual Living Port Angeles and will be in the Big Barn at 254 N. Bagley Creek Road.

Born and raised in Oklahoma, Dye’s roots can be heard in her voice and music, according to a press release.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in musical theater from Oklahoma City University, she moved to New York City where she started touring the country with Broadway shows.

She left the life of touring and theater after five years, having done four national tours and visiting 48 states.

After five years with a band, “The Yes Team,” Dye decided it was time to venture out on her own.

Since leaving the band in January 2016, Dye has done big things. Her first full-length album, “LIVE,” was recorded in Encinitas, Calif.

Go to www.CSLPA.org for more information.

Attendees are welcome to stay after the concert for the center’s monthly drumming session at 8 p.m.
