Fourth of July open house offered at gallery

SEQUIM — Pacific Northwest Impressions will be on display during a Fourth of July open house from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.

The open house is at the A. Milligan Art Studio and Gallery, 520 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim.

The exhibit features works by Len Zeoli, Michelle Lindblom and Linda Tilley.

Len Zeoli has worked with wood for more than four decades, first as a woodworker then a sculptor, according to a press release.

“My artistic practice explores the fundamental forces that shape life, drawing on the history of materials and the unseen dimensions of existence,” Zeoli said. “My work reflects an ongoing dialogue between the material world and the deeper questions of human consciousness and origins”.

Michelle Lindblom uses acrylic paintings and monotypes to interpret the natural world that surrounds us.

She holds advanced degrees in the fine arts, taught visual arts at the college level, served on community arts committees and has been a gallery coordinator and exhibition juror.

“Once the process begins, it becomes a visual playground of colors, textures, shapes and movement. As the work evolves, intuition and formal knowledge guide the exploration, experimentation and discovery,” Lindblom says. “My imagery portrays the continuous dialogues with my psyche, along with my awareness of the nuances of everyday experiences.”

Linda Tilley uses oils to create representational works of landscapes.

She likes to paint en plein air to capture the intensity of color, light, atmosphere and the energies of the world outside, a release said.

From her home in Port Townsend, Tilley has traveled both regionally and to Europe following her passion for plein air painting, according to the release.

Organizers said visitors are also welcome to take a look into Anne Milligan’s pastel studio for any works that might be in progress and see some of her finished pieces on display in the digital studio.
