Forever Twilight downsizes September event

FORKS — Forever Twilight in Forks won’t be a festival this September.

It will be a fan gathering.

“Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, the FTF Festival slated for Sept. 10-13 cannot take place as planned,” according to a press release.

“As organizers, we held out hope that we would be in Phase 4 of Washington’s Phased Approach, but after the June 30 announcement from Clallam County that we will not apply to move into Phase 3 until late July, we don’t feel confident that we can or will reach Phase 4 in time for the FTF Festival,” the release said.

Instead, Forever Twilight will host low-key small events with social distancing, said Lissy Andros, Forks Chamber of Commerce executive director.

Free events will include appearances by Erik Odom, Twilight Saga actor, and FTF Cosplayers – Edward, Bella, and Jacob of The Olympic Coven, ShAro Di Volterra, and members of The Volterra Coven.

A full schedule will be released sometime this week, Andros said.

Those who already have purchased tickets for the festival can get refunds or roll the fee over to the 2021 event, with no additional cost even if ticket prices go up between now and then,

To request a refund, email Director@ForksWA.com by Aug. 15 with “Festival ticket refund” in the subject line. A check, less Pay Pal fees, will be sent to the name on the invoice.

To roll over the tickets, email Director@ForksWA.com by Aug. 15 with “Festival ticket rollover” in the subject line. If nothing is heard either way by Aug. 15, the ticket will be automatically rolled over to next year’s festival.

All incentive winners will roll over to next year. If an incentive winner cancels, it will be drawn again, with the same criteria as it was originally drawn.

Tickets for the 2021 festival will be sold at 2020 cost through July 31.

The festival’s featured guest – Billy Burke – has been asked to participate in the 2021 festival, Andors said.

Sponsors will be listed on the back of this year’s T-shirt. Annual sponsors will be rolled over to next year or refunded.

Andros said sponsors will be contacted individually.
