Food, drink planned for Taste of Port Townsend

PORT TOWNSEND — The Taste of Port Townsend is set for Thursday at the Northwest Maritime Center.

The event at the maritime center at 431 Water St., will offer visitors tastes from 14 restaurants and samples of beer, wine, cider, tea and coffee.

Tickets purchased by today will get early entry at 5 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door beginning 6 p.m. on a space-available basis.

Tickets are $50 for food and alcohol tastes; $35 for food-only tastes.

Participants must be at least 21 years old to attend and should bring identification.

Tickets are on sale at Safeway, 442 W. Sims Way. Ticket sales benefit the Port Townsend Main Street program.

“Come on a culinary adventure — in support of our local Main Street program,” said Mari Mullen, executive director of the Port Townsend Main Street Program.

“We are excited about the menu, which features lots of local tastes from savory to sweet. The food will be complemented by delicious hand-crafted, artisan beverages.”

Among tastes offered will be green curry chicken, seafood risotto, sushi, smokehouse sliders, smoked sockeye nova lox with cream cheese, salads and desserts.

New participants this year will include Finistere, Banana Leaf Thai Bistro, Port Townsend Vineyards and Key City Fish Company.

Favorites lined up

In addition, old favorites will be Reveille at the Commons, Smokehouse at the Fort, Aldrich’s Market/Sushi Ichiba, Sirens Seafood Bar, The Old Whiskey Mill, Silverwater Café, Dogs-A-Foot, Pane d’Amore, The Belmont, The Boiler Room and Better Living Through Coffee, as well as Port Townsend Brewing, Eaglemount Wine and Cider, Alpenfire Cider, Finnriver Cider, Marrowstone Vineyards, Sunrise Coffee Company and The Spice and Tea Exchange.
