‘Fluidity’ digital exhibit opens at Sequim Civic Center

SEQUIM — The City Arts Advisory Commission hosts the opening of the “Fluidity,” A Digital Exhibit.

The digital show’s “live” video display by two monitors through the windows at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St., began Wednesday and will continue through Sunday.

All are invited to view the art from the screens while safely socially-distanced outside.

The exhibit will also be displayed on Sequim’s city website at www.sequimwa.gov/705/Current-Exhibit beginning Friday.

The inspiration for the theme is Rainer Rilke’s line: “May what I do flow from me like a river, no forcing and no holding back,” said Aurora Lagattuta, arts coordinator.

The jury reviewed a record 105 pieces of artwork from 50 artists before selecting 50 pieces from 40 artists to be included in the exhibit, Lagattut said.

The artists represented are Pamela Raine, Linda Collins Chapman, Ryoko Toyama, Ines Epperson, Anne Peacock, Anne Schneider, Sally Franz, Randy Radock, Julia Conklin, Morgan Stephenson, Raquee Rivera, Witta Priester, Dan Powers, Carol Nielsen, Maria Reid, Estelle Jackson, Allyne Lawson, Lisbeth Jardine, JoAnna Caro, Peggy Hanson, Tom White, Gloria Lamson, Ken Kennedy, Gary Bullock, Dan Brewer, Melissa Mann, Robert Tognoli, Scott Pascoe, Jeff Williams-Gifford, Susan Gansert Shaw, Suzanne Anaya, Randall Page, Rick Hill, Darcy McNamara, Nels Peterson, Roger McGinnis and Eva McGinnis.

The exhibit will be on display until Sept. 30.
