First Night activities set Tuesday in Port Townsend

PORT TOWNSEND — The Production Alliance will host First Night 2024: A Cosmic Connection at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The celebration will be on Madison Street between Washington and Water streets in downtown Port Townsend.

A suggested donation is $10 per person or $20 per family. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

There will be food vendors, fire pits and live music from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The music lineup includes Intensive Porpoises at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. and the Laurence Cole sing-along at 4 p.m.

The Unexpected Brass Band will lead a lantern parade at 6 p.m. that will be followed by a fire-spinning show by Feral Fire Collective at 6:45 p.m. and fireworks at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available for the 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. showings of Improv-a-Ganza! at the Key City Public Theatre, 419 Washington St. Both performances of the Circus Show in the Marvin Shields American Legion Post #26 are sold out.

Following the First Night celebration, the American Legion will host the Port Townsend New Year’s Eve Bash, featuring Kalan Wolfe and the Shift, from 8:15 p.m. to 12:45 a.m.
