PORT ANGELES — Tickets go on sale today for the Festival of Trees Gala, Sr. Breakfast and Family Days.
The three-day festival, an annual fundraiser for the Olympic Medical Center Foundation, will be Nov. 26-28 at Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St., in Port Angeles.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.omhf.org, by calling 360-417-7144 or by going to the foundation office at 1015 Georgiana St. in Port Angeles.
Those going to the gala can attend either in person or virtually. Those buying tickets to attend virtually will be given instructions closer to the event. People attending online will be able to pick up dinner at either the Red Lion in Port Angeles or Tedesco’s in Sequim, while still having the opportunity to bid on trees or other auction items.
Now in its 31st year, the festival displays elaborately decorated Christmas trees and wreaths created by area designers.
“We have a lot of excitement being generated for this event,” said Lindsay Fox, OMC Foundation president-elect and Festival of Trees chair.
“We have a record number of sponsors already, so we know that the event is going to be a huge success.”
Foundation organizers have been working with county health officials to make sure the event is safe, according to Bruce Skinner, foundation executive director.
All attendees 12 years and older will be required to be fully vaccinated and to wear masks.
Here is the schedule of events and ticket prices:
• Nov. 26 – Festival of Trees Gala, sponsored by First Federal, at 5 p.m. Buffet dinner, tree auction and silent auction. $105 each.
• Nov. 27 – Senior Breakfast, sponsored by Dungeness Memory Care, at 8:30 a.m. It includes sit-down breakfast. $12 adults. Limited tickets will be available at the door.
• Nov. 27-28 – Family Days, sponsored by The Lodge at Sherwood Village, The Fifth Avenue and Sherwood Assisted Living, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 27 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Santa Claus photos, public viewing of decorated trees and wreaths, musical entertainers and children’s activity areas. $7 each, kids younger than 8 free.
The Teddy Bear Tea, an event for children, will be integrated into Family Days.
“Because there’s things we can’t do at a normal Teddy Bear Tea event due to COVID, we will stage many of the things that we can do at the Tea during Family Days,” Skinner said.
“We will still have photos with Santa, Teddy Bear Tea characters and entertainment for kids,” Skinner continued.
