Experience ‘bounty of the forest’ at Jefferson Land Trust fundraiser

CHIMACUM — Finnriver Orchard will host a Jefferson Land Trust fundraiser Thursday with a feast to support farms, fish and forests.

The cider sipping, feasting and socializing go from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the orchard, 124 Center Road.

Tickets for “ForestFest” are $100 and include dinner, beverages and dessert. The fair market value of each $100 ForestFest ticket is $75, and $25 of each ticket purchased is tax-deductible. Attendees must be 21 or older.

Tickets are available only in advance at save land.org/forestfest or by phone at 360-379-9501. The event is expected to sell out because seating is limited.

At the event, you can observe local artisans handcraft the “bounty of the forest” into products. Jefferson Land Trust describes ForestFest as an “enchanting evening of merriment, delightful local food and inspiration from the forest.”

Volunteers are also needed to put on the dinner. If interested in volunteering, contact Sarah at szaxling@saveland.org or 360-379-9501, ext. 108 for more information.
