ENTERTAINMENT BRIEFS: Volunteers sought for Ludlow play; ‘Cinderella’ opens

PORT LUDLOW — An orientation meeting for production team volunteers for the Ludlow Village Players’s spring play is set today.

The meeting will be at 1 p.m. at the home of Susan Abrahamson, 247 Machias Loop, Port Ludlow.

Behind the scenes help is needed to support the actors in the production of Noel Coward’s “Nude With Violin,” which is planned for April 6-9.

The amount of time commitment ranges from performances only to a full three month’s preparation for opening night.

Volunteers are needed in such areas as costumes, set building, set décor, makeup, props, technical support, prompter, stagehands, publicity, ushers and refreshment committee.

‘Cinderella’ opens

CHIMACUM — Cinderella’s dreams will come true onstage at the Chimacum High School in a production opening tonight.

The Chimacum High School Drama Performance Club will present “Cinderella!” at the school at 91 West Valley Road, at 7 tonight and Saturday, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m, and at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, with doors opening at 3 p.m.

Performances are also planned the following weekend — Jan. 13-15, with 7 p.m. curtain times Friday and Saturday and a 3:30 p.m. Sunday matinee.

General admission is $10. Students with Associated Student Body cards and senior citizens will be admitted for $5. Children 10 and younger will be admitted free.
