PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., will host a live concert by the Navy Band Northwest Low Brass Quartet at 7 tonight.

This free performance will take place during the library’s quarterly Art Blast! — a free reception celebrating the opening of a veteran themed Art in the Library show at 6:30 p.m.

The exhibit will be on display through Jan. 17.

Refreshments will be served, and limited library services will be available during this special after-hours event.

Navy Band Northwest, of Silverdale, performs throughout the region for a variety of military functions and public concerts.

Comprised of two trombones, euphonium and tuba, the Low Brass Quartet performs classical, Dixieland, jazz and contemporary musical selections.

Art in the Library is a collaborative library-community art project celebrating the talents of local artists through a series of rotating visual art exhibits and free Art Blast! events, according to a news release.
