PORT ANGELES — Bar N9NE, 229 W. First St., will host 2nd Friday Art Rock, featuring the Malcolm Clark Trio and Port Angeles artist Sarah Tucker, at 9 tonight.
A $3 cover charge will help support the musicians and artist.
“Sarah divides her time between acting in local plays, creating marine debris sculptures and volunteering for just about everything possible,” said Dan Lieberman, event spokesperson.
“Her products from past 2FAR artist-in-residence events have adorned walls, CD covers and more. At 2FAR this month, she will be doing paint on paper.”
Meanwhile, the Malcolm Clark Trio “brings high quality blues music to the 2FAR stage,” Lieberman said.
“Their playing is loose, spontaneous and understated, which makes for great dancing and listening. Front man Malcolm Clark plays guitar and sings and is backed by uber-musicians Randy Bennett on bass and Harry Bidasha on drums. This band has built an extensive following during their time hosting the Thursday night blues jam at the Dam Bar.”

Member’s Art Show
SEQUIM — St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., will host the Olympic Peninsula Art Association’s annual “Member’s Art Show” from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today and Saturday.
The show will continue from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The show and reception are free and open to the public, although donations are welcome. Donations benefit the Olympic Peninsula Art Association, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting the visual arts on the North Olympic Peninsula.
“This show is a chance for our artists of all skill levels — from beginner to professional — to show the community who we are,” said Linda Stadtmiller of Olympic Peninsula Art Association. “Many of the pieces will be for sale and a portion of the sales will help fund our many projects.”

Benefit Concert
PORT TOWNSEND — The McCurdy Pavilion at Fort Worden State Park, 200 Battery Way, will host a benefit concert featuring Freddy Pink from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.
Freddy Pink is a cover band that specializes in popular music stretching from the 1960s to the 21st century. Proceeds from the fundraiser, organized by the Peninsula Trails Coalition, will benefit work done on the the Olympic Discovery Trail.
The trail traverses almost 130 miles of lowlands, bordered on the south by the Olympic Mountain Range and on the north by the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It starts in Port Townsend and ends on the shores of the Pacific Ocean.

Live music, lunch
SEQUIM — St. Luke’s Epsicopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., will host Music Live with Lunch featuring saxophonist Craig Buhler and pianist Gary McRoberts at noon Tuesday.
Music Live with Lunch started more than 25 years ago by Lou and Bill Yandell as a musical outreach program to the community with proceeds helping local regional and global concerns, said Sammy Greenwood, an event organizer. The program runs the third Tuesday of the month from September through May.
Tickets are $12, and can be bought at the church office from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday, or at the door. Season tickets are available for $80.
Tuesday’s concert will consist of “classics from the American songbook plus some music pieces moved by the spirit,” Greenwood said.
Buhler is director of the 17-piece Stardust Band. He also is director of the annual Big Band workshop in Carmel, Calif. For the past 20 years, Buhler has been a full-time instructor in clarinet, saxophone, flute, ear training and improvisation, according to a news release.
McRoberts currently performs with the Deka Piano Trio and other ensembles, and is the associate music director at Kingsway Christian Music Camp.
