Early-bird prices for Juan de Fuca Festival good through April 30

PORT ANGELES — Early-bird prices for four-day passes to the Juan de Fuca Festival will expire May 1.

The early-bird passes are $65. On May 1, the price of a four-day pass will rise to $75. Passes at the gate of the festival, set May 25-28, will sell for $85.

To buy tickets, go to the festival website at http://jffa.org/, or go to Port Book and News in Port Angeles or Joyful Noise Music in Sequim.

The Juan de Fuca Festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. It will be centered at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles. Performances will be at four venues. A street fair also is planned.

For the first time, camping will be offered near the festival grounds at Civic Field on Race Street.

The cost will be $10 per person per night. Restrooms will be open and free busing will be available from Civic Field to all venues.

“We’re particularly proud of the fact that even as it’s grown from its relatively modest beginnings to its place today as one of the great West Coast festivals, the Juan de Fuca Festival still retains its charming small-town roots,” said Dan Maguire, executive director of the Juan de Fuca Foundation for the Arts.

“Long recognized for the diversity and sheer quality of its performing artists, the festival is really outdoing itself in 2018.

“This year’s festival features our greatest and most amazing lineup ever,” he said.

The festival will have 35 acts. To see the lineup, go to http://jffa.org/category/2018-festival- lineup.
