Eagle Mountain String Band to bring bluesy rock to Port Townsend

PORT TOWNSEND — For those who missed its sell-out performance in February, the Eagle Mountain String Band has returned to Key City Public Theatre for another night of bluesy folk rock.

Concerts at the Key will present the Eagle Mountain String Band at 7 p.m. Monday at the Key City Playhouse at 419 Washington St. in Port Townsend.

Tickets are $25 at the KCPT Box Office, online at www.keycitypublictheatre.org or by phone at 360-385-5278 (KCPT).

The band members — Tim Holbrook, Bob Richardson and Bill Marlow — played together previously in the rock and roll Captain Fever Band. Combined, they have 200 years of musical experience.

The Eagle Mountain String Band took its eclectic folk Americana sound and toured across the U.S. and Australia, and now the longtime Jefferson County residents have returned for another performance at Key City Public Theatre.

In 2008, The Eagle Mountain String Band performed its first show in Australia and New Zealand. They’ve continued to tour down-under, which included a performance at the second-largest country music festival in Australia: Gympie Music Muster as well as the Widgee Country Music Show.

They’ve recorded at Douglas Corner in Nashville, Tenn., and Russian River Records in Ukiah.

In 2015, they toured 6,000 miles in the American West.
