Debutones to perform in Coyle

COYLE — The Debutones will return to Coyle for their third visit to perform at Concerts in the Woods at 3 p.m. Sunday.

“The Debutones has it all: two guitars, a violin, a Dobro alternating with banjo, and bass plus superb vocal harmonies,” said series organizer Norm Johnson.

“They are a perfect example of a full folk band.”

The group’s all-ages show will be at the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center, 923 Hazel Point Road. Admission will be by donation.

Complimentary cookies and coffee will be served at intermission to guests.

The Debutones are Debby Nagusky (vocals and guitar), Don Share (vocals and guitar), Julian Smedley (vocals, violin and viola), Greg Glassman (vocals, bass and guitar), and Bob Knetzger (Dobro and banjo).

“The Debutones are excited about our upcoming show at the Coyle Concerts in the Woods series — our third show at this lovely venue at ‘the end of the earth,’” said Nagusky.

“We’ll bring our special blend of folk, country, and bluegrass, with several new songs since our show there last March.”

The Debutones “are a group of veteran Northwest musicians who discovered they have a great time making beautiful music together,” the group says on its website at www. debutones.com

Members play an eclectic blend of country, folk and bluegrass using both the repertoire created by Nagusky and Share as they sang duets since the mid-1990s and the new songs they have discovered.
