SEQUIM — Applications for studios to participate in Strait from the Artists Studio Tour in November are due today.

Strait from the Artists Studio Tour will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 12. It will be a free, self-guided tour of multiple artist studios and exhibition spaces along the Strait of Juan de Fuca, which includes the Sequim and Port Angeles cultural corridors, according to organizer Renne Emiko Brock.

Attendees will be able to visit, view and learn directly from the artists about their creative processes and the imaginative, community-minded efforts of their work, Brock said.

Applications to partake in opening an individual studio or joining with a few other artists at a collective venue are available online at https://straitfromtheartists.com/apply, where more details and requirements can be found.

“Strait from the Artists Studio Tour is organized by local, Olympic Peninsula art businesses, arts advocates, and educators dedicated to encouraging education, positive professionalism, and creating inclusive and innovative opportunities,” Brock said.

“Creating cultural vitality is financially sound for a population and improves the quality of life in a community,” she added.

“A thriving arts community benefits all businesses that in turn support artists, educators, and cultural institutions.”

To inquire, email Brock at renne@uniqueasyou.com or apply directly at https://straitfromtheartists.com.
