Concert to benefit Sequim Food Bank

SEQUIM — The 2nd Annual Sequim Food bank Benefit Concert on Saturday will raise funds for the food bank’s Family Holiday Meal Program.

It will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Sequim Elks Lodge, 143 Port Williams Road. Guests are urged to attend part of the evening or stay throughout the event. They can bring their own dinner if they like. Desserts will be served and the Elks cash bar and dance floor will be open.

Admission is by cash donation, with $10-20 suggested.

Local musicians will include the Sequim Fiddlers (Old Time fiddlers), Jason Paul (easy listening originals), Farmstrong (folk, bluegrass and American roots), At Large (intimate and classic standards), Jean Lenke & Steve Kirk (acoustic jazz, folk and blues), Indecisive (funk pop) and The OG Band (eclectic rock).

Launched last year by local musician Jean Lenke and many community friends, the inaugural Sequim Food Bank Benefit Concert raised $15,000.

A $5,000 challenge match has been put on the table this year. Every dollar donated will be doubled all the way to $5,000.

Those who don’t attend also can donate through going to www.sequim foodbank.org/donate and selecting “Nov. 4th Concert” in the dropdown.

Questions about the event, volunteering and sponsorships may be directed via email to sequimfoodbankbenefit concert@gmail.com
