K-Von

Comedy tonight at Peninsula College

PORT ANGELES — Comedian K-Von will take the stage of the Peninsula College Little Theater at 7 tonight.

The show, hosted by the Associated Student Council, is free to Peninsula College students and by donation for community members.

K-Von, of MTV’s “Disaster Date,” also has appeared on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” ABC’s “Good Morning America” as well as Netflix, Showtime, CNN and FOX.

K-Von, who’s real name is Kayvon Moezzi, grew up in Las Vegas and has toured the world several times, performing in comedy clubs, theaters, colleges and for large nonprofit organizations.

His sketches, stand-up routines and a viral “TED Talk” have landed millions of online views.

The Iranian/Scottish comedian also has produced an award-winning documentary about the Persian New Year and is currently working on a book which details his unique upbringing and journey into comedy, according to the bio on his web site.

“We are excited to have K-Von perform with his high-energy,” said Casandra White, Associated Student Council vice president of programming.

“His mainstream topics will keep the crowd entertained and fill the theater with laughter.

“All community members are welcome to this can’t-miss performance,” she added. “For those who would like to sit down and have an evening of laughter, please come by — the more the merrier.”

The October comedy show is the first of three scheduled by White and her ASC programming team for the 2018-19 school year.
