Comedy night coming to Little Theater

PORT ANGELES — Comedian, actor and author Kevan Moezzi, who goes by K-von, returns to the stage of the Peninsula College Little Theater for a comedy show at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The Florida-based comedian, who recently appeared alongside Jon Heder in “Funny Thing About Love,” will entertain an audience of students and community members for a 60-minute show at the Little Theater at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles. Admission is free to students and by donation (any amount) to others.

A bonus act is planned. Port Angeles improv troupe IWANT (improv-without-a-net) will go on at 6:30 p.m.

“This is going to be a great night of comedy,” said Rick Ross, associate dean for student life. “Come early and enjoy the improv show and stay after and meet K-von.”

Moezzi said he’s excited to return and promised new jokes to make people laugh.

“We want the students there, as well as those who love comedy in the community,” he said. “Peninsula College is the hidden jewel of Washington. A gorgeous campus, a beautiful theater … shhh, don’t tell anyone!”

K-von, who claims to be the world’s most famous half-Persian comedian, has appeared on Dry Bar Comedy specials, Netflix, NBC’s Last Comic Standing and in a TED Talk showcase.

“He is one of the most popular comedians we’ve had here over the years, and we are thrilled that he agreed to do another show for us,” Ross said. “My student programmers really enjoy comedy shows and they are excited to have K-von back.

“This is a great opportunity for comedy fans in our community to see a high-level comedy act without leaving town. His material is relatively clean, but as always, these shows feature adult content and may not be suitable for children.”
