Comedian to perform at Peninsula College

Corey Rodrigues to take the stage Thursday

PORT ANGELES — Comedian Corey Rodrigues, who recently appeared on the Conan O’Brien Show and is the winner of numerous comedy awards, returns to Peninsula College at 7 p.m. today.

Admission will be free for students and by donation from the general public for a show at the Maier Performance Hall at the Port Angeles campus of the Peninsula College at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

Rodrigues also will perform at the college’s sold-out athletic fundraising event, Pirate Casino Night, on Friday, before closing out his visit with a corporate show for First Federal employees on Saturday.

His show may contain adult content.

Rodrigues last performed at Peninsula College in 2015.

“Corey felt like part of the family when he was here back in 2015,” said Rick Ross, associate dean for athletics and student life.

“Everyone loved him. He’s not only a polished and professional comedian, but he’s a genuinely funny guy. We’re excited to have him back.”

Rodrigues was selected as one of TBS’s “Comics to Watch” at the New York Comedy Fest. He also was voted “Best of the Fest” at the Big Pine Comedy Festival.

In 2018, he released his “Dry Bar” comedy special that has been viewed more than 40 million times online.

He has been featured on Gotham Live, Laughs on Fox and True TV’s Laff Mobbs Laff Tracks.

Growing up in Milton, Mass., Rodrigues learned to imitate voices in the hallways at school and went from entertaining his friends at a young age to entertaining audiences all over the country, orgnaizers said.
