College hosts Alumni Appreciation Night on Saturday

PORT ANGELES — The Peninsula College Pirates will celebrate their annual Alumni Appreciation Night when men’s and women’s basketball squads take on Edmonds in a double-header Saturday.

The women’s game begins at 4 p.m. with the men’s game tipping off at 6 p.m. at the Peninsula College campus at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

All registered Peninsula College alumni receive free admission and will be recognized at halftime of the men’s game.

They also have the opportunity to answer trivia for a chance to win some college gear.

To register as an alumnus, visit alumni.pencol.edu.

Registration can also be done at the door the day of the event.

That same day at 4 p.m., the “Class of ’62-’82 Athletic Teams Hootenanny” will be in the Pirate Union Building.

All athletes who played on a Pirate sports team 1962-82 are encouraged to attend and bring their tall tales, a plus one and any memorabilia they’d like to share.

Food and beverages will be available for those who RSVP.

Enjoy game footage from 1968-72, pictures, programs and a call-in from former PC coach Jack Estes (1967–72).

Former players are encouraged to attend.
