Clemente lecture
CHIMACUM — Johnny Horton will present “Salvation and Surrender: Literary and Historical Definitions of the Currency We Trade For Land” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The lecture is part of the Jefferson Clemente Foundation’s Thinking Through the Land series, presented at Finnriver Farm & Cidery, 124 Center Road.
Horton, a National Poetry Series finalist, teaches English at Seattle Central College, poetry at Richard Hugo House and literature in the Clemente Course in the Humanities.
The suggested donation of $10 per person benefits the Jefferson Clemente Course in the Humanities, a free accredited college humanities course for low-income adults.

The artists will speak at the winter meeting of the Northwind Book Arts Group at the Northwind Arts Center, 701 Water St.
