Clallam libraries to host kids’ music Monday

As part of the Summer Reading Program, the North Olympic Library System will host the The Lucky Band on Monday at branches in Forks, Sequim and Port Angeles as part of its summer reading program.

The Lucky Band will perform at 10:30 a.m. at the Forks Library, 171 S. Forks Ave., at 3 p.m. at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., and at 6:30 p.m. at the Port Angeles Library at 2210 S. Peabody St.

This Grammy and Emmy award-winning group performs music for the whole family.

Dubbed “the face of kindie music” by the Washington Post, husband and wife duo, Lucky Diaz and Alisha Gaddis have been featured on NPR, CNN, Univision and PBS.

Previously known as Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band, they now tour as The Lucky Band.

Their latest album Buenos Diaz is a bilingual celebration of family life that Zoogobble claims are “eleven tracks of pop joy.”

The theme for the 2019 Summer Reading Program is A Universe of Stories.

This summertime celebration, which encourages children to keep reading during the summer break from school, features a reading challenge with fabulous prizes, and a multitude of events for all ages.
