Clallam County libraries offer kits, online workshops

PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System invites teens and adults to grab a warm cup of tea or another favorite beverage and join friends for CreativiTea virtual winter crafting projects.

Register at nols.org or by calling the Port Angeles, Sequim, Forks or Clallam Bay libraries to receive a Zoom link and to reserve a craft kit for curbside pickup.

Upcoming sessions include:

• “Origami Boxes,” 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, on Zoom.

Origami boxes can be made to give to others or for storage of treasures. Participants can create a traditional Masu box and lid, a cube Masu box and lid, a Masu box with window, and a modular Suehiro square box and lid.

Kits are available to pick up for registered participants starting this week.

• “Paper Quilled Hearts,” 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, on Zoom.

Paper quilled heart-themed projects have participants filling a heart with colorful, paper-quilled shapes. Kits will be available to pick up for registered participants beginning Monday, Jan. 25.
