Clallam Bay Sekiu Fun Days set this weekend

CLALLAM BAY — The 41st Clallam Bay Sekiu Fun Days are scheduled for Friday through Sunday.

The annual festival is held the second weekend in July in downtown Clallam Bay and at the Sekiu Community Center, 42 Rice St., Sekiu.

Festivities start with the Art Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Sekiu Community Center.

The Street Fair from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday in downtown Clallam Bay will feature handcrafted jewelry, hand-carved wooden figurines, wooden birdhouses and different kinds of food.

The unofficial opener is the Community Potluck at 5:30 p.m. Friday in front of the bus barn in Clallam Bay.

Bring a main dish, side dish, salad or dessert and enjoy a meal, catch up with old friends and possibly make some new ones; donations are accepted from those unable to bring a dish.

Some of the weekend activities include:

• Scavenger Hunt, 4 p.m. Friday; check in at the bus barn.

• Trivia Night, 7 p.m. Friday, Sekiu Community Center.

• Street Dance, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, in the parking lot at the Clallam Bay Branch Library, 16990 state Highway 112.

• Poker Ride, sign up at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in front of the Clallam Bay School, 16933 state Highway 112; ride starts at 9 a.m.

• Agate and Seaglass Hunt, from 9 a.m. 3 p.m. Saturday, across from the high school.

• Grand Parade, 11 a.m. Saturday.

• Borderline Dance Team Performance, noon Saturday at the school.

• Live auction, starts after the parade in the bus barn.

• 3-on-3 basketball tournament, starts at noon Saturday.

• Slip Point Lighthouse tour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

• Live music Saturday at the top of the school hill.

— The Randall Wolf Band, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

— Rut Ditch Groove, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

— Rot Gut Riot, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

— Beer Bellied Sneeches, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., in the Sekiu Community Center.

• Fireworks start at 10 p.m. Saturday over the bay.

• Cribbage tournament 4 p.m. Sunday at the tavern.
