Christmas shows staged at Key City Public Theatre

PORT TOWNSEND — Key City Public Theatre is presenting two performances showcasing the work of Charles Dickens.

“What the Dickens?!,” written by Doug Given with additional material by David H. Schroeder, runs through Dec. 23. It is presented at the theater at 419 Washington St. in Port Townsend at 7 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and at 1:30 p.m. Sundays.

Tickets are $15 to $39 for standard seating, $15 to $44 for select seating, $15 to $49 for premium seating and $5 to $59 for pay-what-you-wish.

A block of pay-what-you-wish seats are now available at every main stage show.

“Great Expectations,” written and performed by Allen Fitzpatrick, will be on the stage Dec. 30 and Dec. 31. It will be performed at 7 p.m. both days with a 3 p.m. performance on Dec. 31.

Tickets are $15 to $39 for standard seating, $15 to $44 for select seating, $14 to $49 for premium seating and $2 to $59 for pay-what-you-wish.

In “What the Dickens,” infamous business partners Scrooge and Marley run a vaudeville theatre.

In “Great Expectations,” Fitzpatrick performs a one-man show that follows the story of Pip from boyhood to manhood. Fitzpatrick brought his adaptation of “A Christmas Carol” to KCPT in 2021 and 2022. Once again alone on stage, he will recreate all of Dickens’ characters as he relates the entire story in 83 minutes.
