A building expo, Peninsula-wide art exhibit and a solo performance about living as a mixed-race person are offered this weekend on the North Olympic Peninsula.
• Building, Remodeling, & Energy Expo will be presented by the North Peninsula Building Association on Saturday and Sunday.
The expo will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Sequim Middle School, 301 W. Hendrickson Road.
Admission is free. The event’s presenting sponsor is Clallam County Public Utility District.
In addition to exhibits from many different trades, the expo also offers seminars on energy efficiency, gardening and landscaping planning.

• Showcase 2024 exhibit opened this week at Northwind Art in Port Townsend and artists will be at the Jeanette Best Gallery at 701 Water St. during Art Walk from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.
More than 100 works of art by artists from Port Townsend, Quilcene, Sequim, Port Angeles, Chimacum, Indianola, Bainbridge Island and San Juan Island are on display at the gallery, which is open from noon to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Mondays.

• “Living IncogNegro” opens tonight at Key City Public Theatre, 419 Washington St., Port Townsend.
The play is Gin Hammond’s tale of being Black with light skin, being the daughter of a white mother and a Black father, being “mixed.”
Hammond, a thespian well-known to Port Townsend audiences, wrote the solo show for Key City Public Theatre, where executive artistic director Denise Winter is directing it.
Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 1:30 p.m. Sundays through Feb. 11, with tickets at keycitypublictheatre.org. An American Sign Language-interpreted show is set for 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

• First Friday Art Walk in Sequim is a free, self-guided tour of local art venues from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. the first Friday of every month.
Fourteen venues will stay open late tonight and offer special events.
• Folk artist Tracy Grammer will perform at 7:30 tonight at The Palindrome at Eaglemount Cidery in Port Townsend.
The Rainshadow Recording concert will be at 1893 S. Jacob Miller Road.

• North Olympic Shuttle and Spindle Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1033 N. Barr Road, Agnew.
This month’s meeting will feature a presentation by two members about the textile tour of Sweden they embarked upon last fall.
• Digging Deeper series will present Jeanette Stehr-Green and Audreen Williams speaking about “Blueberries: Pruning for Productivity” at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
The free lecture, part of the Clallam County Master Gardeners’ Digging Deeper series, is at the Fifth Street Community Garden, 328 E. Fifth St.
• Tolo dance will be sponsored by the Rainbow Girls No. 33 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Port Angeles Masonic Temple, 622 S. Lincoln St.
The dance is for Port Angeles area sixth- to eighth-grade students only.
