Book discussion groups set for month

Book discussion groups

PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System will host book discussions in person and online this month.

• The Second Saturday Book Discussion Group will meet at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at the Sequim Branch Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave.

The group will discuss “The All-Girl Filling Station’s Last Reunion” by Fannie Flagg.

Paperback copies are available for pickup at the Sequim Library.

The group will discuss “The Worst Hard Time” by Timothy Egan in April.

• The Second Tuesday Book Discussion Group will meet online at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, to discuss “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” by Gail Honeyman.

Paperback copies are available for pickup at the Port Angeles Library.

In April, the group will discuss “Entangled Life” by Merlin Sheldrake.

• The Novel Conversations Book Discussion Group is set to meet online at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 22 to talk about “The Doctors Blackwell” by Janice P. Nimura.

Paperback copies are available for pickup at the Sequim Library.

The group plans to discuss “The Address Book” by Deirdre Mask in April.

• The Wednesday Evening Book Discussion Group will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, in the Carver Room at the Port Angeles Main Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., Port Angeles.

The group will discuss “Men Explain Things To Me” by Rebecca Solnit; paperback copies are available for pickup at the Port Angeles Library.

Its April selection is “Exhalation” by Ted Chiang.

Registration, at www.nols.org, is required to join the online meetings and is recommended for the in-person discussions.
