Book discussion groups offered online this month

Novel Conversations and Wednesday Evening to meet

PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System will continue its book discussion groups online throughout December.

The Novel Conversations and Wednesday Evening groups will meet a week early this month due to the holidays. Participants must register at www.nols.org to receive links to the free Zoom meetings.

• The Second Saturday Book Discussion Group will meet at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, to discuss “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” by Gail Honeyman.

Paperback copies are available for pickup at the Sequim Library.

The group will discuss “The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry” by Gabrielle Zevin in January.

• The Second Tuesday Book Discussion Group will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, to discuss “Braiding Sweetgrass” by Robin Wall Kimmerer.

Paperback copies are available for pickup at the Port Angeles Library.

In January, the group will discuss “One Hundred Years of Solitude” by Gabriel García Márquez.

• The Novel Conversations Book Discussion Group is set to meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, to talk about “The Island of Sea Women” by Lisa See.

Paperback copies are available for pickup at the Sequim Library.

The group plans to discuss “Dark Matter” by Blake Crouch in January.

• The Wednesday Evening Book Discussion Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, to discuss “The Warmth of Other Suns” by Isabel Wilkerson.

Paperback copies are available for pickup at the Port Angeles Library.

Its January selection is “Dinner with Edward” by Isabel Vincent.
