Blue Whole Gallery exhibit helps WAG

SEQUIM — This October Blue Whole Gallery artists offer a special exhibit to support Welfare for Animals Guild, which rescues and adopts out disadvantaged dogs.

Proceeds from the sale of selected art pieces will be donated to the Sequim-based Welfare for Animals Guild (WAG).

Veteran artists, Janet Piccola, who works in ceramics, and painter Patricia Starr will curate the windows with original fine art related to “people’s best friends, dogs,” they said.

Bow Wow! will be on display through the month of October at the gallery at 129 W. Washington St., Sequim.

The artists will be on hand from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. this coming Friday during the First Friday Art Walk.

Gallery hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Included in the exhibit are two and three-dimensional pieces, and jewelry.

Inside will be more artwork related to the cause.
