BLOCK Fest comes to Sequim on Thursday

SEQUIM — The Parenting Matters Foundation, First Teacher Program and the North Olympic Library System will offer BLOCK Fest at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

The research-based block play program, which is for children from 8 months to 8 years old and their caregivers, will be at Sequim Middle School, 301 W. Hendrickson Road.

At BLOCK Fest, children can rotate from station to station in a self-guided tour to play with a variety of different blocks. Parents and caregivers accompanying their child are strongly encouraged to join in the play.

Socks are required for children and adults participating in this event.

BLOCK Fest was initially supported by a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to the Parenting Matters Foundation of Sequim.
