PORT TOWNSEND — Peninsula Fiber Artists have installed “Birds of a Feather,” a walk-by exhibit, in Port Townsend.
The exhibit is open 24 hours a day in the Fiber Habit Window, 675 Tyler St., through Sept. 30.
The exhibit showcases textile sculptures, mixed media, art quilts and a banner, all with an avian theme.
Port Townsend artist Pat Herkal curated the street-side exhibit, which includes her work and the work of four other Port Townsend fiber artists, Leslie Dickinson, Sue Gale, Cynthia LeRouge and Debra E. Olson.
Peninsula Fiber Artists installs a new walk-by exhibit in the Fiber Habit Window every two months; in October, the window will feature “Beatlemania!” which opens Oct. 6 in honor of the 60th anniversary of the Beatles’ first U.S. appearance.
