PORT TOWNSEND — The Big Brass Yule Ball is planned for Saturday.
The Brass Screw Consortium and Olympic Peninsula Steam will host the ball, which is for those 21 and older, from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 209 Monroe St., Port Townsend.

Olympic Express Big Band will bring brassy horns and rhythm for an evening of dancing.
Organizers say they are “looking to steam up the holidays in the dark of the year. Whether you rock gears and goggles, bustle or bowler, this is the holiday opportunity to come out and kick it old school.”
Dress is come as you are: “Victorian, Steampunk, fancy dress, blue jeans. It’s the spirit, the season and the swing that matter!” organizers say.
