Beckett play at Key City Public Theatre Playhouse

PORT TOWNSEND — Samuel Beckett’s “Krapp’s Last Tape” will continue at the Key City Public Theatre tonight through Sunday.

The one-man show, starring Eric Ray Anderson will be at the Key City Public Theatre Playhouse, 419 Washington St.

Tickets are $29 tonight and Saturday, with shows at 7:30 p.m., and $24 for the 2:30 p.m. Sunday matinee.

In “Krapp’s Last Tape,” a 69-year-old man sits in a dark cell of a room, randomly reviewing taped journals of his life at age 39.

As his life unwinds, it looks small and pointless.

Numerous international theater luminaries have performed this role.

They include John Hurt, Corin Redgrave, Brian Dennehy, Michael Gambon, Harold Pinter and Robert Wilson.

Anderson has performed at KCPT in 2016’s “Shipwrecked” and on other stages such as Seattle Rep, ACT, Seattle Shakespeare, Seattle Children’s, Pioneer Square Theatre and on screen in shows such as Twin Peaks, 7 Minutes, Z Nation, Grimm, and Northern Exposure.
