SEQUIM — Charlie Sheldon will read excerpts from his adventure novel set on the Olympic Peninsula, “Strong Heart,” to an audience of fellow writers today.
The free Fourth Friday Readings will take place at 6:30 p.m. in The Lodge Media Room, 660 Evergreen Farm Road.
Sheldon has been writing since he could grasp a crayon. His 30 years in Washington have inspired his writing muse on many occasions — he believes writing makes us human, he said.
For most of his life, Sheldon didn’t make his money from writing. He’s worked as a wildlife biologist, commercial fisherman and merchant sailor.
After Sheldon’s presentation, writers can give five-minute timed readings. An hour of readings are available. Those interested should come early to submit names. For guidelines, contact lindabmyers@yahoo.com.
